Fan Content Policy

People make wonderful things with Cornucopia®, and we'd rather you spend your time making them than wondering whether you're allowed. So here it is in plain language. The short version: make what you love, don't pretend we made it, and keep our spaces safe for the kids who play this game.

Things you can make, without asking us

Art, writing, animation, music and cosplay. Draw our characters, write about them, build them out of felt. It's yours.
Videos and streams. Let's Plays, reviews, guides, edits, speedruns. You can earn money from them through normal platform ads, memberships and subscriptions. You don't need our permission and you don't owe us a share.
Mods. Make them, share them, as long as they're free and you're not handing out the game itself with them.
A few things to sell. Your own original fan art, prints and handmade crafts, in small quantities, at a convention table or a small online shop. That's fine by us.

Just make it clear it's fan work and that we didn't make it.

Things we have to say no to

Mass-produced merchandise, or anything selling our logo, our store art, or art pulled straight out of the game.
Anything that suggests we made it, endorsed it, sponsored it, or worked with you.
Using the word Cornucopia in a company name, app name, store page or web address.
Using our characters or art for hate, harassment, or anything illegal.

None of this is us being precious about it. It's just the difference between a fan making something and somebody trading on our name.

Adult work

Cornucopia is a general-audience game. This website, our Discord, our Steam forums and our official hashtags are all-ages places, and they're staying that way.

If you make 18+ fan work, please:

keep it off our official tags
don't post it or link to it in our Discord or our Steam forums
put it somewhere people have to go looking for it on purpose
don't use our logo, our store art, or art taken out of the game

This policy doesn't give permission for adult work and we're not endorsing it. We're asking you to keep it away from where a nine-year-old is going to walk into it. That's all.

The one line that never moves

No sexual or suggestive content involving any Cornucopia character who is a child, or who is written as a child. In this game that includes Finn, Lindsay, Kaho and Bradley.

There's no version of this we're okay with. Not in any art style, not under any tag, not as a joke, not anywhere, not by anyone. If we find it we'll take it down, permanently ban the account from every space we run, and report it to the platform and to law enforcement.

The same goes for photographs of real people. Don't make sexual or suggestive content out of photos of our players, our team, or anybody else.

Our Discord and our forums

Our community spaces have kids in them, so they run on the same rules as this page plus a bit of common sense: only post photos of yourself or your own things, never post a photo of someone else without asking them, and don't message anyone asking for photos, their age, or personal details. An adult doing that to a younger member is an instant permanent ban and we report the account.

If you see something that breaks these rules, tell a moderator. You won't be in trouble for reporting it.

This is a permission, and we can withdraw it

Follow this page and we'll leave your work alone, happily. Ignore it and we can ask you to stop and ask platforms to take the work down. Cornucopia® is a registered trademark of Subconscious Games Inc., and this page is us choosing not to enforce that against fans who play fair.
