Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 1, 2026 · Subconscious Games Inc. (British Columbia, Canada)

This policy covers the game Cornucopia® (including its demo and beta, on all PC storefronts and consoles), our other games where noted, and this website. The short version: we collect as little as possible, we never collect anything that can identify you, and we never sell data.

Data the game collects

Cornucopia does not collect, transmit, or store personal information. Your save files stay on your own device (and in your platform's cloud-save service, like Steam Cloud, if you have it enabled).

Anonymous gameplay statistics. The game counts anonymous gameplay events to help us improve it: things like which crops get harvested, which bosses get defeated, how long play sessions last, and which areas players visit. This data contains no personal information at all. No names, no Steam or platform IDs, no IP addresses, no account details, and nothing you type in the game is ever recorded. It cannot be linked back to you or your computer, by us or by anyone else.

These statistics are processed by Aptabase, an analytics service built for privacy: it uses no unique user identifiers and does not store IP addresses. Because this data is fully anonymous, it is not personal data under privacy laws such as the GDPR or Canada's PIPEDA.

Platform services (Steam, Epic Games Store, Nintendo)

When you play through a store platform, that platform processes your account identity for us to provide platform features: for example unlocking achievements on your Steam or Epic Games account. We receive only the platform identifiers needed to make those features work. These services are governed by their own privacy policies:

Multiplayer

Cornucopia's optional co-op connects players directly to each other. When you host or join a session, your IP address is shared between the connecting players (that is how a direct connection works). We do not run matchmaking servers and do not see or store these addresses. Only play with people you trust, the same way you would with any peer-to-peer game.

This website

Data retention & security

Anonymous gameplay statistics are kept as aggregate numbers for as long as they are useful for improving the game. Dev-log comments are kept until you ask us to remove them. Since we do not hold personal data about players, there is no personal data to lose, leak, or sell.

Children

Cornucopia is a general-audience game. It has no accounts, no chat with strangers, no ads, and no in-game purchases, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you are a parent and have any concern, email us and we will help.

Your rights

Privacy laws like the GDPR (Europe), CCPA (California), and PIPEDA (Canada) give you rights over your personal data, such as access and deletion. Because we do not collect personal data from players, there is normally nothing for us to look up or delete. If you believe we hold something about you (for example a dev-log comment), email us and we will find it, show you, and remove it on request.
